Hi, My name is Miss Angie, and I am the proud mother of four daughters; Jade, Ruby, Ivory, and Pearl (angel), and Founder/Executive Director of Miss Angie’s Place. Miss Angie’s Place was born of the desire to provide a safe and nurturing place for people of all ages and walks of life.
We all need a place to feel safe, secure, and wanted, and I hope Miss Angie’s Place is just that.
Miss Angie’s Four Pillars

Art
We are all artists created in the image of a creative God. We reflect our Creator when we let our imaginations give birth to new ideas. It takes a lot of self-confidence to stand tall and say, “Yes! I am an Artist!”.
I’ve created art my art entire life, but at the tender age of 42, I am finally able to call myself an artist. My hope is that Miss Angie’s Place will help inspire others to find their inner artists as well.

Nature
There is no place on earth that helps us connect more fully to ourselves and our higher power than nature itself. I was blessed with some AMAZING parents who allowed myself and three siblings the freedom to explore nature every darn day – we went outside, we got muddy, we explored, we imagined, we experimented, we created. We had SO. MUCH. FUN!!
At Miss Angie’s Place, children will have the opportunity to explore the amazing parks in the Pine Island Area, stomp around in the mud a bit, and have lots and lots of fun.

Spirituality
God, Creator, Mother, Father, Higher Power, Abba – all interpretations of your greater being are welcome. Spirituality is not about “religion”; it is about a relationship with something greater than ourselves. Finding a connection with something bigger guides us to treat others the way we would like to be treated. To help us become good stewards of the earth, of ourselves, and of one another.
A primary goal of Miss Angie’s Place is to help foster conversations on spirituality, as well as provide a location for support groups to meet. Please reach out, or check the calendar, for a list of current offerings.

Movement
Move that body! Movement is so important to overall health – both physically, mentally, and spiritually. As a three-sport athlete, I grew up playing all kinds of sports and engaging in all types of physical activity. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve had to accommodate for a middle-aged physique (meaning OLD). This is a blessing in helping me explore new avenues of movement and see the variety of possibilities yet to be explored.
Miss Angie’s Place will help facilitate classes and workshops for a variety of movement types; yoga, sport, and dance, to name a few.
